I like this one, it’s very clear in what it’s intentions are. Very useful if you are a leader. Sometime we can get bogged down in delegating tasks to other people. Which may lead to a less than satisfactory outcome.
Sometime it can be more beneficial for you and your team to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
2. Anyone can hold the helm when the sea is calm.
Leadership can be a fine balance. You have to be able switch on at a moments notice.
I think that’s what this quote is talking about here. It’s easy to lead when everything is rosy in the garden, but as soon as things get tough and problems arise is when we find out what leadership is.
When the sea gets rough the captain doesn’t jump over board. They stay at the helm of the ship and find a way through their crisis.
3. If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.
4. Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
5. A good objective of leadership is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better.
